 Also, throughout the year:

·         The Trip Committee: (Paul Cianfaglione, chair; Paul Desjardins, Ernie Harris, Patsy Mason, Adrian Nichols, Beth Nichols, Louise Tucker) In addition to our usual popular trips, the committee is planning to resurrect birdwalks to locations that were popular hot spots during the history of the club, including a “lethal tour” to try and find 100 species in one day in May!

·         HAS History Committee, (Frank Haviland, chair; Joe Budrow, Mona Cavallero, Carl Ekroth, Jeff Feldmann, Gil Kleiner, Stephanie Lovell, Alberta Mirer, Adrian Nichols, Roger Preston, Jane Ricci, Jon Smalley, Tom Yanik) Volunteers are busy pouring through old records and trip reports gleaning interesting facts for presentations about the activities and people who helped form and shape the club we know today as well as data about the birds that were popular during the first 100 years.

·         The Wildlife Series, (Fran D’Amico, chair; Jayne Cowl, Deb Pankonin) is planning to bring in some prominent speakers on some hot topics!

·         The Publicity Committee, (Maggie Peretto, chair) Maggie is gearing up soon to spread the word to the media via newspaper, public radio and brochures and flyers about our events.

Gil Kleiner is working on a memorable cover for our Centennial Program Book.

The next year promises to not only be informative, but entertaining and inspiring as well!! If you’d like to be a part of this historical celebration, it’s not too late to sign up for a committee and take part in the planning activities (see Volunteer Opportunities).
