SUMMARY:Connecticut Wild Turkey Restoration Program Cancelled-Club Zoom Meeting only
DESCRIPTION:Dear Hartford Audubon Society Members\, \nDue to circumstances beyond our control November’s planned presentation\, CT Wild Turkey Restoration will Not be given during our Tuesday monthly meeting. \nThis change gives us the opportunity\, to have casual free form conversation about birds. If you recall\, I proposed at the September meeting to start a bird study group. Tuesday night is as good a time as any to get one going. Raise your hand or get in line via the chat box. Whether discussions move from owls to kinglets or sparrows or gulls\, lemmings or breeding\, migration or molts (sounding like Dr. Seuss here)\, this will give us the opportunity to chat on topics that will help us to grow our birding skills.  *Suggestion: have a field guide handy. \nThere will be a short meeting first. Expect a 45 minute discussion period to follow. \nPlease contact Annette with any questions and if you care to attend\, please notify her to send the ZOOM link: \nAnnette Pasek             apasek@cox.net            860-490-8357 T \n

SUMMARY:Audubon Bird Mural Project: A Virtual Walking Tour - 11/16/2021
DESCRIPTION:Zoom Program \nNovember 16\, 2021 at 7 pm \nSpeaker:  Leigh Hallingby \nWatch for e-mail with Zoom link \nAudubon Bird Mural Project: A Virtual Walking Tour \nThe Audubon Mural Project is an impressive effort to create murals of over 300 North American birds. Most of the murals are in the Harlem neighborhoods of Hamilton Heights and Washington Heights\, where John James Audubon lived the last ten years of his life. Since all of the birds painted are threatened by climate change\, the Project is designed\, not only to display the birds’ beauty\, but also to make us aware of the challenges that they face. Leigh Hallingby\, a retired librarian\, is a licensed NYC tour guide. \nContact Frances D’Amico if you have any questions:    frandamico525@yahoo.com 203-237-2734
