DESCRIPTION:Leaders:  Chris Fisher and Diane Fisher will lead the trip starting at 8 am \n31 Ridge Blvd\, East Granby \nPark on north side of road – Drake Hill Rd from Flower Bridge. Do not park at Flower Bridge \nAll are welcome on this exploration of our Greenstone Hollow Nature Preserve.  Woodland\, water and shrub meadow habitats will hopefully provide 20-40 species during the fall migration. It is a day of fun at Station 43 where we count all species we see and hear from a 17-foot circle located at the HAS platform on the southwest end of the marsh. DESCRIPTION:Leaders:  Sylvia Halkin and Sally Rieger starting at 9:30 am \nOn Google Maps\, 324 Park Rd\, Barkhamsted –  will take you close to intersection of Park Rd. & Beaver Brook Rd.  \nGo south .3mi on Beaver Brook Rd. to bridge – park in picnic area.   \nJoin us for a beautiful forest and marsh walk of about 2 miles in the Peoples State Forest\, Barkhamsted. SUMMARY:Birding the Andes - 10/18/2022
DESCRIPTION:Join past President Sam Fried for his 41st program for HAS. He’ll be taking us on a roller coaster of a trip birding the Colombian Andes. Traveling from mountain valleys to mountaintops at 14\,000 feet\, from cloud forest to tropical lowlands\, we had the pleasure of encountering 40 species of hummingbirds and my target bird for the trip – Andean Cock of the Rock!
