Beaver Brook Area, Peoples Forest – 10/15/2022

On Google Maps, 324 Park Rd, Barkhamsted –  will take you close to intersection of Park Rd. & Beaver Brook Rd.

Go south .3mi on Beaver Brook Rd. to bridge – park in picnic area. 

Join us for a beautiful forest and marsh walk of about 2 miles in the Peoples State Forest, Barkhamsted. We will see an interesting variety of birds.  From the picnic area we will walk 1/2 mile on Beaver Brook Rd to the new boardwalk through a forested wetland on the Agnes Bowen Trail, then a short distance to a second boardwalk out into the Beaver Meadow marsh.  Both boardwalks have benches.
