Drive past house at 202 to the end of lane, park in lot on left.

Happy hour time!  Starting at the Connecticut River, easy observations from the picnic area for common birds, woodpeckers and gulls, ducks are likely too!  Migration may bring some surprises.  The big question is when will a Sandhill Crane be spotted in the farm fields?  Flat terrain, easy birding.  The walk ends around the corner at 275 Dug Rd, Hops on the Hill Brewery where Thursday evenings they host a Car Cruise Night! Bring a lawn chair.

Take Route 17 to South Glastonbury, then turn on Rt. 160 and follow to Ferry.  If you want to take the ferry from Rocky Hill, take the Silas Dean Highway to CT 160 and follow to Ferry.  The Ferry costs $5 per vehicle and only runs until 6:45pm.  Weather and mechanical issues can affect whether the Ferry is running, so check the website to be sure.
