Special Event at Trinity College, Watkinson Library
Exploring the Watkinson Library’s World of
Ornithology: Birds, Books, and Art.
Book and art viewing (with refreshments) will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Tour the impressive book collection of Trinity College’s Watkinson
Library and see the Audubon collection and other popular and
valuable ornithology books up close! Learn how to determine if
you potentially possess a valuable piece of Audubon’s art!
Presentations will begin at 7:00 p.m. This special event will
include 5 speakers: Dr. Christina Bleyer will introduce us to the
Watkinson Library and its special collections; Artists Don Carter
and Dora Dylanne Reyes of Birds & Desserts will discuss the
impact of Audubon on their fun and inspired art; Sir Gerard
Ramsawak and Dr. Eric Johnson–DeBaufre will discuss Audubon’s
Birds of America and the engravings by Havell.
