Bobbing for Bobolinks: Frederick White Farm – Bird Walk – July 11, 2026

Saturday, July 11 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Join us for an off-season trip to Frederick White Farm to see Bobolinks, this Saturday, 7/11, at 9am! Sadly, part of the area was recently mowed ahead of schedule, but it seems that a number of Bobolinks and nests still remain, thankfully. See details below, and contact me if you have any questions!
Frederick White Farm, adjacent to the Durham Fairgrounds, is a known nesting location for Bobolinks. Spend an hour or two exploring the grass and gravel pathways between the fields. Our primary focus will be the Bobolinks, and we will also search for other species common in grassland and brushy habitat. Paths are a mix of gravel, dirt/ mud, and grass, and are flat except for one optional hill.
Meet at the parking area at the bottom of the hill, next to the two large oaks.
Sunscreen and bug spray encouraged. Prepare for mushy/ muddy ground & limited shade.
Location: Fredrick White Farm. 24 Town House Rd (off Maple Ave) Durham CT.
Date & Time: July 11th, 9am.
