Trails Day Hike – 2019
Bird Walk at Greenstone Hollow Preserve
Saturday, June 1, 2019
9:00 am – 11:00 am
Come celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Hartford Audubon Society’s Greenstone Hollow Nature Preserve for this year’s Trails Day. The 2-hour, leisurely bird walk will start at 9:00am at the preserve’s entrance. We’ll travel about 1 ½ miles on trails through mixed woodlands and fields, across wetlands and near ponds. We will stop frequently to look at and listen to birds. We’ll traverse most of the trails and return to our starting point. Bring binoculars if you have them. Wear sturdy walking shoes and layered clothing, and bring water and bugspray. Please leave dogs at home. In case of bad weather, text or call one of the leaders.
Total distance (miles): 1 ½ miles; Difficulty: easy
Meeting place: Meet at the preserve’s entrance on Ridge Blvd, East Granby. Please park carefully along the north side of the road, pulling as far off the road as possible.
