Farmington River Park – Trip Report, Oct 10, 2026
A sunny but cool day greeted us Saturday. Five of us turned out to see what was in the park. With the leaves still out, we relied mostly on our ears.
The trees in the clearing yielded a Yellow-rumped Warbler, our only warbler. Also a Chipping Sparow, our only sparrow.
The river was more productive. Belted Kingfishers and Great blue Herons flew by. Topped off by a Bald eagle.
Overall, we had 18 species, and 1 warbler.
